Earlier this week I came across a Cosmopolitan article describing the new hottest wedding trend, but it simply seems crazy to me.
According to an article written by Lyndsey Matthews on August 25 this trend is “blowing up right now” and obviously more delicious than the flower wall, a wedding trend from 2014.
So what is this must have wedding trend? A doughnut wall.
Oddly enough people have made it part of their wedding using it as a dessert table backdrop or hanging them on pin boards to just have as display. They are often paired with sayings such as “I doughnut know what I’d do without you” and the doughnuts have different icon patterns and colours for a unique display.
Now, I don’t know about you, but personally I don’t care to look at doughnuts on a display, I just want to eat them. And as Matthews wrote, the flower girls and ring bearers sometimes get to the lower treats before wedding guests can even see the display.
Now lastly on the topic of this doughnut wall, I hope they are kept inside and in the AC. The icing on those doughnuts will melt faster than the makeup on the bridesmaids on a scorching hot summer day.
Well, to each their own, but I’d rather eat one than just see them. Oh, by the way, we rent a doughnut wall now.
